Anesthesia is a beautiful thing

Because when it fully wore off last night -- WOW! Searing pain. I have 2 kinds of pain: the burning kind where I feel like I'm ripping myself wide open with a wrong move and the muscle pain where I feel like I did 1000 sit-ups. The percosets are for the burning pain, the Valium is for the muscles. They aren't timed together though so in a 6-hour period there's about an hour where I'm comfortable.

I did get to see the "work" today before I was discharged. WOW for a different reason. I'm swollen but I think I'm going to be really happy with the results. The nurse who unwrapped me was impressed. They were all so nice and really happy for me. What a cool feeling.

With my discharge papers was this card of all the names of everyone from surgery. What a nice touch!



I ate, got some sleep, and am hanging out with my amazing hubby and dogs. Daisy doesn't understand why she can't jump on me but we seem to have reached a happy medium where she is pressed up against my side without hurting me.

Hopefully I'll feel a little stronger tomorrow.
