I didn't have to clear my lungs of all kinds of nasty phlegm this morning (I know, TMI) so I took that as a sign that it was okay to run. We got lots of snow last night so I decided to a treadmill fartlek workout. It went great! Maybe there's something to be said for forced rest. I felt strong and fast. Got in 6.09 miles in 60 minutes which is pretty good considering the walking warmup and cooldown included. I'm seeing progress!
After that I did some kettle ball swings (because I missed going to Crossfit last night) and some overhead presses with the barbell. I like this balance I have going with the running and Crossfit. The running gives me endurance, Crossfit gives me strength. Win-win.
Tomorrow the roads should be good enough to head out. I'm not sure where I'll go though. I think the trail is out because it's not like they're going to plow it. So it's either the lake or OS. I'll decide in the morning.
For the rest of the day I think I'll do a little reading, a little knitting, some snacking, and chill out. I love days like this.
