Fear

The other night at CF they did handstand pushups. I did the modified version off the box in a pike position because I was afraid to flip my legs up on the wall like a cartwheel. Like, deathly afraid.

Tonight was tough, as always. First the warmup. Then walking squats across the room and back. Then walking pushups across the room and back. Then the real WOD:

50 wall balls
50 pullups
35 wall balls
35 pullups
15 wall balls
15 pullups

Simple but brutal. My legs and arms were all quivery after. I was cooling down and getting ready to go home when I saw 2 girls working on wall climbs in the corner. I wanted to join them but I was afraid, like with the handstand pushups. While they were teaching a third woman how to do it I started to attempt one but it was a false start. I got scared. I sat and watched the other women and I decided to give it another go. I got about halfway up and got scared and it was one of those seconds in life where you either push through or give up. I pushed through and I did it!!!!! And after I did it, I did another one just to make sure it wasn't a fluke!

This isn't my CF but this is what I did. And I'm going to keep doing them because they are AWESOME!!!

Next thing I work on: handstand pushups!!
