It came!!!!!

My husband came in the house with the mail and said I had something from ING. I flew down the stairs 2 at a time (not a good idea, really, for someone running a marathon in 23 days) to get it. Yay!!! I will read every page at least 3 times, probably more. There's a super cool fold-out course map in there and neat detail maps of the start villages.
I so needed this. I know it's just a little thing but it's exciting to get the official guide, especially going into my 20-miler on Sunday. I think of the 45,000 other people who will be getting in their last big run this weekend and it makes me feel like part of something.
I got in my last mid-week run today, an easy 5 miles on the treadmill. It's hard to believe "easy" and "5 miles" goes in the same sentence but it kind of was. I didn't even feel warmed up until I was almost done. Oh, how this will all change after the marathon when I'm not doing insanely long runs. ;) I will feel every foot of a 5-mile run. It was nice just to breeze through it today though. I don't even know what my pace was, I went slow on purpose.
Rest day tomorrow. Hopefully my next post will be about the agony and ecstasy of the 20-mile monster.
Woohoo! So glad you got it!
